Uzbekistan announces 30 new COVID-19 cases, 1,657 in total

AKIPRESS.COM - Thirty new COVID-19 cases were confirmed by 10.00 am. of April 21 in Uzbekistan. That brought the total number to 1,657, the Ministry of Health said.
113 coronavirus patients are receiving treatment at the clinic of the Virology Research Institute in Tashkene. 54 of them have clinical signs of pneumonia. Four are in critical condition, one in extremely critical condition, Nurmat Atabekov, Chief Sanitary Inspector, said.
97 patients are receiving medical care at the clinic of the Epidemiology and Infectious Disease Research Institute. Two of them are in critical condition.
146 patients are treated at the clinic of the Tashkent Medical Academy. 45 of them have pneumonia, 4 in critical condition, 1 in extremely critical condition.
More than 92,000 people are quarantined at home and in hospitals. Their samples are taken for coronavirus tests, Nurmat Atabekov said.
