AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Tajikistan said the senior official of the Dushanbe prosecutor's office, Jaloliddin Abdudjabborzoda, died not of coronavirus, but from pneumonia and flu A (H1N1), known as swine flu, Avesta reported.
Jaloliddin Abdudjabborzoda was taken to hospital on April 15. He was transferred to the infectious disease hospital next day as his condition deteriorated.
The prosecutor was diagnosed double pneumonia, H1N1 flu and class 3 obesity. He was put up on a ventilator, but died on April 19.
The patient tested negative for coronavirus.
All relatives and close contacts of Jaloliddin Abdudjabborzoda have been quarantined, the Ministry of Health said.
Starting since February 1 and up to April 20, some 8,212 people were quarantined in Tajikistan. 7,129 people were discharged from quarantine. 1,038 still remain quarantined.
By April 20, Tajikistan has not officially confirmed coronavirus infection in the country.
