Uzbekistan to make 400,000 coronavirus tests in near time

AKIPRESS.COM - Some 400,000 coronavirus tests will be made in near future, Health Ministry's representative Habibulla Akilov said, Kun.uz reported.
Over 100,000 tests were made so far, he said.
"It is planned to bring this figure to half a million in near time," he said.
COVID-19 tests should be made when symptoms of the infection develop. Otherwise, there is no need to make them, he said.
Private healthcare organizations are permitted to make coronavirus infection tests until September 1. "Any willing person may be tested there," Akilov added.
"Treatment of this infection can't be cheap, especially the intensive care. However, all expenses related to coronavirus treatment in Uzbekistan are covered by the state. Treatment of patients and quarantined citizens is free of charge," he said.
