Some $3,000 spent for medical care of one coronavirus patient in Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - Some 32 million soums ($3,100) are spent for medical treatment of one coronavirus patient in Uzbekistan. If a patient is in intensive care or in critical condition, the costs double to 64 million soums ($6,200), Health Minister Alisher Shadmanov told a briefing today in Tashkent.
14-day quarantine at hospitals for one citizen costs 2.4 million soums ($235). Besides, 14-day rehabilitation for each recovered coronavirus patient makes 2.8 million soums ($275).
To date, more than 210,000 tests were made for coronavirus in Uzbekistan.
By April 23, 1,716 COVID-19 cases were confirmed. 18 patients are in serious condition. 454 patients recovered, 7 coronavirus patients died.
Medical facilities have a reserve for possible 16,000 patients. The reserve of medicines is available for potential 20,000 patients, the Health Minister said.
