Google, Apple, Netflix start paying VAT in Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - The State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan has introduced VAT for foreign companies providing services to individuals in Uzbekistan online since 2020, Kun.uz reported.
The State Tax Committee set up a special resource - VAT office for Internet companies - tax.uz.
Nine foreign companies registered as VAT tax payers via VAT office in Uzbekistan, including:
- Google Commerce Limited
- Google Ireland Limited
- Google Voice Inc
- Apple Distribution International Limited
- Netflix International B.V.
- Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.
- Сleverbridge AG
- Xsolla (USA), Inc.
- Activision Blizzard International BV
Google Commerce Limited was the first Internet company to pay 85,000 Euros in VAT for the first quarter of 2020.
