AKIPRESS.COM - A modular infectious disease hospital was built in Almaty for 18 days, the mayor's press office said.
Coronavirus patients will receive medical care there.
Almaty mayor Bakytzhan Sagintaev visited the hospital and noted a high quality of construction and medical equipment. He thanked the builders for erecting the hospital for such a short period of time.
The modular hospital consists of 2 one-floor buildings and 4 two-floor buildings linked with a gallery.
The 280-bed hospital includes 9 departments, a 28-bed intensive care unit, 10 one-bed wards with separate exit, a reception department with 5 one-bed wards.
The modular hospital has staff room, four laboratories, computer tomography room, X-ray room, and other medical equipment.
75 doctors, 100 nurses, technical personnel work at the hospital.
Kazakhstan has so far confirmed 2,334 coronavirus cases. 568 patients recovered, 24 died.
