Above 6,700 citizens of Kyrgyzstan brought home from abroad since coronavirus outbreak

AKIPRESS.COM - Since start of global coronavirus outbreak, 6,767 citizens of Kyrgyzstan were brought back to Kyrgyzstan from abroad, the nation-wide team for coronavirus fight said.
Most of them returned from Russia, but also from Turkey, UAE, India, Egypt, Thailand, China, Malaysia, South Korea, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam.
Nationals of France, UK, United States, Dominicana and other countries arrived from Moscow.
Chartered flights are arrannged for evacuation of citizens of Kyrgyzstan. Thus, 410 citizens were airlifted from Turkey on March 25 and April 17. 177 citizens were airlifted from Novosibirsk on April 22.
Evacuation of citizens of Kyrgyzstan is arranged in a close cooperation with partner countries. For instance, 325 citizens of Kyrgyzstan were evacuated from India, Egypt, Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam by Kazakh air carriers to Kyrgyzstan, from where they were transported to Bishkek.
