AKIPRESS.COM - Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov on February 27 held an expanded meeting of staff of the State Registration Service on discussion of results of work in 2019 and tasks for 2020, the Service reported. The meeting was attended by representatives of the government's office and heads of structural departments of the State Registration Service.
Boronov during the discussion said that the task on introduction of biometric passports was not achieved by the beginning of 2020.
Therefore, he said one of the key tasks for 2020 is introduction of biometric passports by the beginning of 2021.
According to him, 436,076 regular passports and 501,012 IDs were issued in 2019.
The participants also discussed optimization, improvement of activities of the service centers and digitalization of state services.
