South Korea provides humanitarian aid valued at $1 milllion to Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - South Korea provided medical equipment and supplies valued at around $1 million to Uzbekistan. The aid was airlifted to Tashkent, Dunyo news agency reported.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea also provided $250,000 for purchase of 20,000 RT-PCR test systems for COVID-19.
The first batch of the humanitarian aid weighing 6.2 tons was airlifted to Tashkent by the Uzbekistan Airways plane on April 26. It included hi-tech medical equipment, medical beds, RT-PCR test systems, 4,000 protective coveralls, 10,000 gloves, 18,500 masks, 25,000 antiseptics, 10 multi-purpose monitors, portable X-ray machines, other equipment and supplies.
A specialist from South Korea also arrived in Tashkent on April 26. The professor of the Korea University, intensivist, will provide support to the Ministry of Health in coronavirus infection control on the basis of international requirements.
