First COVID-19 case in Balykchy: Man returned from Russia

AKIPRESS.COM - The first COVID-19 case was registered today in Balykchy, Issyk-Kul region, Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev told a briefing today.
The man is 22 year old. He arrived from Russia on April 20 by car in transit through Kazakhstan with his uncle. At the entry point to Kyrgyzstan, rapid tests for coronavirus were made and they were negative.
The men traveled to Balykchy and from that time stayed in self-isolation. On April 21, their samples were taken for COVID-19 test. The resuls were announced today: the young man tested positive and his uncle tested negative for coronavirus. Both men are at the observation point.
