Population of Uzbekistan reaches 34.03 million

AKIPRESS.COM - The population of Uzbekistan grew for 131,600 peopel since start of the year and by April 1 reached 34.03 million people, the State Statistical Committee reported. By April 1, the biggest population is reported in Samarkand region - 11.4% of the country population, Ferghana region - 11.1%, Kashkadarya region - 9.7%, Andizhan region - 9.2% of the country population.
30.8% of country population are people under the working age. 58.7% of citizens are people of a working age. 10.5% are people above working age.
The natural population growth made 132,900 people and compared to 2019 grew for 10,300 people.
