Construction of industrial facilities kicks off in Batken

AKIPRESS.COM - Land plots for construction of industrial facilities were allocated in Batken town, Turmush reports. Investors have achieved agreements on supply of equipment from abroad.
Among future owners of the enterprises are private businessmen.
In November 2019, the government of Kyrgyzstan issued an order on transfer of lands located on the territory of Batken town from agricultural lands into the lands for industrial, transport, energy, defense and other purposes.
The decision was taken for improvement of social and economic situation of Batken town, development of industrial, processing, agricultural sectors, export of products and creation of new jobs.
172.9 ha of agricultural lands were transferred in total.
According to the development program of Batken town, 23 new plants are expected to be built in the town in 2018-2022.
