Only 8% of positive results from rapid tests are confirmed by PCR tests: Health Ministry

AKIPRESS.COM - The rapid tests are used as screening in Kyrgyzstan, said the Health Minister Sabirjan Abdikarimov at the parliament meeting on April 30.
MP Almazbek Baatyrbekov said that many people criticize the rapid tests received from Russia.
"We use the rapid test system as a screening. If the test results came out positive, then we will confirm the results with PCR test. To date, 8% of the positive results of rapid tests are confirmed by PCR tests. 95-96% of cases detected after PCR test," said Abdikarimov.
