Emergency situation declared in Leilek due to floods

AKIPRESS.COM - Emergency situation has been declared in Leilek hit by mudflow on May 2, local authorities said. Local authorities had a meeting of the operative team to discuss elimination of the consequences of the natural disaster. The operative team gave orders to urgently cleanup and restore the roads, infrastructure, calculate damages, carry out reconstruction works.
As a result of heavy hail and rain, the rural district of Toguz-Bulak, the village of Min-Jygach, a section in the village of Kara-Dobo were flooded by mudflows.
Mudflow blocked more than 10 residential buildings, vegetable plots of 10 households, and at least 1 house in Kara-Dobo village was damaged.
