AKIPRESS.COM - The epidemiological situation does not pose a particular danger now, but it is hard to say the peak of case has been reached, Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev told a briefing today.
The epidemiological situation remains moderate, with up to 30 new cases confirmed every day, he said.
"We hope that tough restrictions allowed us to restrain spread of the infection and in such pace we will reach normalization of the situation gradually," Usenbayev said. All contacts are detected, people are tested for infection, control over those quarantined at home is ongoing, he added.
"The restrictions of the state of emergency were loosened. I think we need to reconsider this decision, since with the slightest easing, people go outside and violate requirements of the state of emergency. Instead of increasing self-discipline, people gather and closely contact each other. It is necessary to reduce the number of contacts, to practice social distancing. If we do not follow these recommendations, we will have to reinstate restrictions," the Deputy Health Minister said.
