AKIPRESS.COM - Control over compliance with quarantine requirements will be tightened in Bishkek. Such task was given at the meeting of the nation-wide operative team for coronavirus fight on May 5. Health Minister Sabirjan Abdikarimov said some stors, food markets do not meet sanitary requirements.
Taxi drivers were noticed not wearing masks and not following recommendations. The Health Minister suggested to tighten control over compliance with sanitary rules and quarantine requirements.
First Deputy Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov slammed police forces. He said the state of emergency is still in effect in Bishkek, Osh, Jalal-Abad, At-Bashi district.
"Some loosening of restrictions for resumption of work of certain kinds of businesses does not mean quarantine ended for other citizens and they may freely walk and ride across the city. The number of people increased in the streets. Police forces need to intensify patrolling and to ensure compliance with sanitary norms, social distancing rules," Kubatbek Boronov said.
Boronov said the decisions made by region administration arbitrarily prohibiting entry to their regions and demands to present medical certificate proving negative test result for COVID-19 should be cancelled. The control of movement of citizens and vehicles should be carried out in line with the earlier approved algorithm of actions of the Health Ministry. The demand to present a certificate about negative COVID-19 test result is unnecessary, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
