Dozens of sheep taken away by floods in Nooken

AKIPRESS.COM - A number of settlements of Nooken district, Jalal-Abad region were flooded on May 5.
District head Erkin Mamatayev said some 30-40 sheep were washed away by flooding.
Some local cattle breeders tried to rescue their animals.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the overflowed irrigation canal washed away about 20 hectares of sown land and flooded the yards of 15 houses.
Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Department for Nooken district and representatives of local authorities ere involved in clean up works.
