Parliament Speaker Jumabekov urges MPs to wear face masks

AKIPRESS.COM - The Parliament is a public place and all requirements of the Ministry of Health should be met here, Speaker Dastan Jumabekov said in Parliament today.
He urged his colleagues to wear face masks during sessions.
"This is a public place, put your masks on. I urge you to follow recommendations of the Health Ministry when you seat in the room, walk in the buiding," the Speaker said.
Before that statement, MP Natalia Nikitenko (Ata Meken) came to the microphone for speaking and took her mask off. Speaker Jumabekov asked not to put off the mask when coming to the microphone used by all MPs.
"This microphone is used by all MPs, please do not put off your masks," the Speaker said.
