People from mudslide-prone areas evacuated to safe places

AKIPRESS.COM - The mudslide threat does not exist, Minister of Emergency Situations Zamirbek Askarov said today in Parliament.
"You know well we are mountainous country, mountains occupy 90% of territory. We can't say there won't be mudsllides. We are monitoring the areas with high risks of mudslides. There are no particular threats. But we evacuate people from mudslide-prone areas to safe places providing tents for them," Minister Askarov said.
