AKIPRESS.COM - Since May 8, one of the three levels of quarantine - red, yellow or green - will be in effect in Tashkent and the regions of Uzbekistan depending upon the epidemiological situation. Such decision was made by the special nation-wide commission for coronavirus fight.
Red level of quarantine will be in effect in the regions where COVID-19 cases were confirmed during the past 14 days. They will include Karakalpakstan, Andizhan region, Namangan region, Ferghana region, Samarkand region, Tashkent region, Bukhara region, Syrdarya region.
Quarantine restrictions will not be lifted in the red quarantine areas. Work of food stores, wholesale non-food stores, construction materials markets, dry cleaners, medical facilities, notaries, insurance companies, shoe repair, food delivery is allowed in those areas. Resumption of construction, repair and rehabilitation works is allowed as well. Citizens may go for walks in front of their apartment buildings or in compounds practicing a safe distance.
Yellow level of quarantine will be in effect in the regions where COVID-19 cases were not confirmed during the last 14 days, but where coronavirus patients still remain in hospitals. These regions include Surhandarya region, Khorezm region, Tashkent.
In addition to allowed kinds of activities in the red quarantine areas, work of retail trade non-food stores, jewelers, florists, hair salons and beauty salons, hotels, car wash stations, car service centers, home appliance repair workshops, taxis is permitted there. Bicycle and scooter rides are allowed as well.
Green level of quarantine will be in effect where no COVID-19 cases were confirmed or where all patients recovered. These regions include Navoi region, Jizzakh region, Kashkadarya region.
In additional to allowed activities in red and green quarantine zones, parks will reopen, no passes will be required to drive cars, citizens may visit government agencies.
