Uzbek school teacher holding online classes from roof of her house due to bad Internet connection thanked for her job

AKIPRESS.COM - The video showing a school teacher holding online classes sitting on the roof of her house due to bad Internet connection went viral on social networks in Uzbekistan.
The author of the video climbs to the roof of the house and captures the woman sitting under umbrella on the roof in front of laptop and textbooks.
"Internet connection is good here, but I can't sit from morning till night on the roof holding classes... If Internet connection does not improve, I may fall ill sitting here all day long," the teacher says.
The Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan told Gazeta.uz the teacher lives in Yuldoshabad village, Ferghana region.
"We are working with the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications on the problem. As far as we know, the teacher is from Ferghana region. When we get the exact location, the IT Ministry will study the situation and will try to fix problems with Internet access," the Ministry of Public Education said.
The Ministry of Public Education thanked the school teacher for her dedication to profession.
"Despite difficulties, the teacher keeps working and teaching her students. She has demonstrated that dedicated professionals work in our country," the Ministry said.
In Speedtest Global Index Uzbekistan is ranked 133rd among 141 countries in mobile Internet speed.
Kindergartens, schools and universities are closed in Uzbekistan since March 16 due to coronavirus pandemic. Online classes were launched for school students since March 30, allowing to watch lessons via TV and online.
