AKIPRESS.COM - China has dispatched humanitarian aid to Uzbekistan, the Defense Ministry of Uzbekistan said.
The aid was carried by the Chinese military plane and handed over to the Ministry of Defence of Uzbekistan on May 13.
The aid around 2.5 tons in weight included 13 kinds of medical supplies, including masks, goggles, protective clothing, contactless thermometers, disinfectants, infusion pumps and other supplies for around 2 million yuans or 2.8 billion soums.
Ambassador of China Sun Lijie and the Defense Attache attended the handover ceremony.
The aid was dispatched in response to the request of Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek Defense Ministry said this is the first batch of humanitarian aid handed over by the foreign army to the armed forces of Uzbekistan.
