Tajik Foreign Minister, SCO Secretary General hold phone talks

AKIPRESS.COM - Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin held phone talks with Shanghai Cooperation Organization Secretary General Vladimir Norov, the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan said.
The results of the video conference of the SCO Foreign Ministers held on May 13 were in focus of the talks.
Importance of consolidation of efforts, mutual assistance in mitigation of economic and social effects of the COVID-19 pandemic was underlined.
Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin reaffirmed support to the initiatives of the SCO Secretariat on intensification of cooperation, including through establishment of the coordination council for joint counteraction to pandemic threats in the SCO region, adoption of the SCO concept and action plan to ensure food security.
