3 long-haul truck drivers among 6 new COVID-19 cases in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Among 6 new COVID-19 cases confirmed by May 16 in Kyrgyzstan, 3 cases were confirmed among long-haul truck drivers, Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev said.
One of them is a citizen of Kazakhstan. He transported sawn timber to Kyrgyzstan and departed for Kazakhstan after unloading. His sample was taken at the entry point to Kyrgyzstan, the test had a positive result. The Ministry of Health informed medical workers in Kordai, Kazakhstan, about the truck driver with positive COVID-19 results.
"The rest 3 cases are contacts of the confirmed cases detected during the epidemiological investigation," the Deputy Health Minister said.
Kyrgyzstan has confirmed 1,117 cases by the morning of May 16.
