AKIPRESS.COM - Three people participated in the peaceful rally for rights of citizens on May 16 at Ala-Too square in Bishkek. The calls for participation in the actions were shared among social media users.
One of the participants of the action, Arstanbek Tulebaev, told AKIpress he is attending the action to express his position.
"We had the state of emergency, not we are having the emergency situation. Humanitarian assistance has not reached people, people do not have money. Authorities say those wearing no masks in public will be fined," he said.
Tulebaev said he does not know who ogranized the event, but 150 people were supposed to attend it.
Another participant was Raushania Hasanova. She learned about the rally from her son, who received the invitation via WhatsApp. The young man and his mother came to the square for the rally.
"People were confined to their homes, large families remained without money and food. The government has not provided any assistance. People still can't go to work. The government has abandoned us," Hasanova said.
Tulebaev told reporters then the next rally will be beld on May 23 at 10.00 a.m. and that he will be organizer of that event this time.
Police officers have asked citizens to disperse and follow recommendations of the Ministry of Health.
