Kyrgyzstan reports 78 new COVID-19 cases, 1,216 in total

AKIPRESS.COM - 78 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Kyrgyzstan on the morning of May 18, according to the Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev. New cases have been found in Osh region - 6; in Osh city - 5; in Naryn region - 14; in Bishkek - 3; in Chui region - 3; in Jalal-Abad - 1.
Additionally, 3 new cases were confirmed among citizens of Kyrgyzstan who were evacuated from St. Petersburg, Russia.
43 more cases were found among Kyrgyz citizens evacuated from Sol-Iletsk, Russia.
4 cases have been confirmed among truck drivers. This brings the country's total of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 1,216 as of May 18.
"2,236 people are currently under observation. The Kyrgyzstanis who were abroad are returning home. They're all being isolated and tested," Usenbayev said.
