Citizens of Kyrgyzstan made 83% of tourists who visited Lake Issyk-Kul last year

AKIPRESS.COM - 83% of tourists spending their vacations at Lake Issyk-Kul last year were citizens of Kyrgyzstan, Turmush reported.
This year tourism industry is hit by coronavirus pandemic, Issyk-Kul region governor Akylbek Osmonaliev said.
"We usually held tourism festivals and fair in late April-early May, but not this year. According to statistics, citizens of Kyrgyzstan made 83% of tourists visiting Lake Issyk-Kul. 14% of tourists came from the CIS countries, 2% from Europe, 1% from other countries. This year we will focus on domestic tourism. All vacation hotels are preparing to receive guests," the region governor said.
