Turkmen citizens rally in front of consulate in Turkey

AKIPRESS.COM - Over 20 Turkmen citizens held an action of protest in front of Turkmenistan's Consulate in Turkey on May 16, Chronicles of Turkmenistanreports. The participants expressed their discontent with the fact that the authorities of Turkmenistan are ignoring the impact of the hurricane which hit Lebap and Mary regions and demanded that the authorities render assistance to those affected.
Moreover, the participants of the protest action talked about problems of their family members residing in Turkmenistan, widespread unemployment, low salaries, rampant corruption and a shortage of essential groceries.
The protestors demanded that President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov steps down as he fails to fulfill his responsibilities.
