AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov and Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani discussed on the phone the cooperation in COVID-19 response, the Kyrgyz foreign ministry said.
They discussed measures taken by the governments to fight the spread of coronavirus and strengthening cooperation between medical institutions of the two countries.
The Kyrgyz side expressed gratitude for assistance in opening a transit through the territory of Georgia to Kyrgyz cargo carriers despite quarantine.
The sides also discussed political, trade and economic and cultural and humanitarian ties, as well as the schedule of contacts at high levels.
The Ministers agreed to hold inter-ministerial political consultations led by deputy foreign ministers via videoconference, the statement says.
