Newly inaugurated park in Bishkek vandalized

AKIPRESS.COM - The Cholponbai Tuleberdiev Park was vandalized, the Bishkek mayor's press office said.
The vandals removed some letters from the Tuleberdiev monument, broke the seats of swings, waste bins.
The surveillance cameras are not working yet, they will be connected during this week, the mayor's office said.
The park and the monument were inaugurated in presence of President Sooronbai Jeenbekov on May 7.
Cholponbai Tuleberdiyev, Soviet Union hero, closed the embrasure of the enemy bunker with his body on 6 August 1942 and with this self-sacrifice allowed capture of a strategic bridgehead for an assault operation by the 6th Army of the Voronezh Front. He was buried with military honors on the Lysaya Gora Mountain in Voronezh region, Russia.
