AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan held the governmental talks via video conference on May 23 to discuss modalities to boost economic cooperation. The delegation of Uzbekistan was led by Deputy Prime Minister Sardor Umurzakov. The delegation of Kazakhstan was led by Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar.
The sides discussed the progress of establishment of the International Center for Commercial and Economic Cooperation and the progress achieved in elimination of trade obstacles.
The ways to strengthen industrial cooperation between two countries were considered among other aspects.
The list of 13 investment projects was prepared, which included establishment of hi-tech joint ventures in agricultural machinery, light, pharmaceutical and food industries, animal husbandry, energy saving technologies, agricultural processing.
The roadmap for expansion and deepening of industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan was formulated.
The sides vowed to further bolster bilateral ties.
