8,400 deaths registered in Kyrgyzstan in Jan-March 2020: Statistics

AKIPRESS.COM - 8,400 deaths were registered in Kyrgyzstan or 5.2 per 1000 of the population in Jan-March 2020, the National Statistics Committee reports.
More than half of total number of deaths were due to circulatory system diseases (54%), neoplasms - 12%, and external causes of death - 7%.
The main causes of infant mortality are conditions that occur in the perinatal period, of which 418 children died in January-March 2020 or 72% of the total number of deaths among children under one year, 96 infants died from congenital malformations (17%), 41 children died from respiratory diseases (7%).
