Uzbekistan spends around $11 million for treatment of Covid-19 patients

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan has spent almost 110 billion soums (around $11 million) for treatment of coronavirus patients, Chief Sanitary Inspector Nurmat Atabekov told a briefing on May 25 in Tashkent.
Some 100 billion soums ($10 million) were spent for citizens staying at quarantine centers.
In average, the government spends 32.2 million soums (more than $3,000) for one coronavirus patient in average, Atabekov said.
Some 64.4 million soums ($6,000) costs treatment of a patient in serious condition.
2.2 million soums are spent for one citizen staying in quarantine centers (more than $200).
Uzbekistan has so far confirmed 3,261 cases.
The number of active cases makes 595.
