Dozens of women from Kyrgyzstan allowed to enter Uzbekistan to re-unite with their families

AKIPRESS.COM - 50 citizens were allowed to cross the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border into Uzbekistan, Turmush reported. They crossed the border on May 23. Some of them are married to citizens of Uzbekistan, others arrived in Kyrgyzstan for business and were stranded there after the borders were closed, the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan said.
Turmush reported earlier that citizens of Kyrgyzstan married to Uzbek citizens had asked President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for assistance.
They said they could not return to Uzbekistan since March 15, where their families live.
By May 21, there were more than 100 such citizens.
