7 more health workers at Osh maternity hospital contract Covid-19

AKIPRESS.COM - Eight medical professional of the Osh maternity hospital tested positive for Covid-19, Kyialbek Tashpolotov, Health Ministry's coordinator for Osh, said.
The doctor of the neonatal intensive care unit tested positive for coronavirus earlier, 7 more positive cases were confirmed today.
"These health workers stayed at the observation point after they contacted their colleague, who was infected with Covid-19 earlier. 13 recently delivered mothers and 8 health workers tested positive for coronavirus in total. We assume the first health worker contracted the virus from a woman coming from Kara-Suu district. The epidemiological investigiation is ongoing," the coordinator said.
During the online briefing on May 26, First Vice Mayor Saibjan Turduev said the Osh maternity hospital remains closed after several Covid-19 cases were registered there. 882 people were tested for Covid-19, 14 of them had positive results.
By the morning of May 27, 12 new Covid-19 cases were confirmed among health workers, 5 in Bishkek and 7 in Osh region. Six medical workers were discharged from hospitals after recovery.
