AKIPRESS.COM - MP Dastan Bekeshev has suggested abolishment of sanitary checkpoints.
"Why have such checkpoints at all? What do they control and what thermometers they use? Do they detect coronavirus cases? There were cases when checkpoints were passed freely for money. We should better strengthen control in places where people gather. People travel to the regions and return from the regions anyway," the MP said at the plenary session of the Parliament today.
"The decision should be made concerning the checkpoints," he said.
Deputy Interior Minister Mirlan Kanimetov said earlier 65 sanitary checkpoints function across Kyrgyzstan.
