MPs asks Kyrgyz government to help migrants stranded in Russia

AKIPRESS.COM - Citizens with serious chronic medical conditions can not return from Russia to Kyrgyzstan, MP Tabaldy Tillaev (Respublika-Ata Jurt) said at the session of the Parliament today. "The Embassy works, but can't cope with such huge amount of job. If possible, heads of diasporas and public foundations may help. Seriously ill citizens can not obtain assistance now," MP Tillaev said.
The problem of migrant workers stranded abroad was also raised by MP Ziyadin Jamaldinov (Onuguu-Progress).
"They are in a difficult situation, they do not have job, they have to pay rent, they run out of money for food. We need to increase the number of flights and when they return, we need to provide them with jobs. The government should address this problem as well," MP Tillaev said.
