Japan to provide $3 million for economic empowerment of rural women in Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - The Government of Japan will provide $3 million in financial assistance for economic empowerment of rural women in Uzbekistan amid COVID-19 pandemic, the Embassy of Japan in Tashkent said.
Around 3,500 women in Ferghana, Jizzakh and Kashkadarya regions will be able to receive professional training, obtain access to financial services and entrepreneurship.
The project will support 300 small and medium-sized enterprises and will create 1,500 new work places, Gazeta.uz reported.
