AKIPRESS.COM - Face masks should be worn and other heightened sanitary measures should be adopted at all markets of Kyrgyzstan, First Deputy Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov said at the meeting of the nation-wide operative team for coronavirus fight today. COVID-19 cases are confirmed in public places. One of such cases was a man in Bishkek, who might have contracted coronavirus at one of the markets in the capital city, the government's press service said.
"Compliance with sanitary requirements should be ensured at all markets of the country and in Bishkek in particular. Those, who work at the markets and people who shop there should wear masks. The market administrations are responsible for compliance with such requirement. Sanitary services, local authorities should step up sanitary and epidemiological checks, starting with Dordoi market and ending with other markets across the country. Same work should be carried out regularly in public places and where people gather," Boronov said.
