Health Ministry sends team of medical professionals to Navoi region after outbreak of new coronavirus cases there

AKIPRESS.COM - The number of local COVID-19 cases is growing lately in Navoi reigon of Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of Health dispatched a special team of researchers, epidemiologists, infectious disease doctors, ear, nose and throat specialists, resuscitation specialists, pulmonolgists, surgeons, laboratory specialists to the region.
119 COVID-19 cases were confirmed in the region.
There are 5 clusters in the region. The first is in Zarafshan town, the second and third clusters are in Hatychi district, the fourth is in Kanimeh district and the fifth is in Tomdi district.
31 cases were confirmed and around 300 contacts were quarantined on May 26 in Zarafshon. Since May 8, quarantine measures were tightened in 11 districts of Zarafshon.
