Lawmakers propose prohibiting hunting 5 animals until 2026 in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - A group of lawmakers developed bill on a temporary prohibition on hunting certain species of animals in Kyrgyzstan and submitted it for public discussion on June 3.
The bill suggests to establish moratorium on hunting for mountain sheep, goats, ibexes, roe deers, and boars across Kyrgyzstan from Jan 1, 2022 to Dec 31, 2026 in order to restore of fauna population, protect reproduction of wild animals and interests and rights of citizens to biological diversity.
Those violating prohibition will face criminal charges.
