AKIPRESS.COM - First Vice Chairman of the Senate of Uzbekistan, Co-Chair of Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Interparliamentary Commission Sadik Safoev and Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan, Co-Chair of Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Interparliamentary Commission MP Mirlan Bakirov held phone talks on June 4, the press service of the Senate of Uzbekistan reported.
The parliamentarians expressed serious concerns over the latest Kyrgyz-Uzbek border conflict.
It was suggested to hold the meeting of the interparliamentary commission for cooperation in near time.
Vice Speaker Bakirov underlined that Kyrgyzstan highly values and regards the current bilateral relations with Uzbekistan. "We should safeguard our cooperation filled with new meaning and content," he said.
The sides vowed to maintain regular dialogue on further development of cooperation between two countries.
