Blogger accused of inter-regional incitement to make final statement at trial

AKIPRESS.COM - The trial of blogger Elmir Sydymanov know as @Sydyman on Instagram continued in Oktiabrskiy district court of Bishkek on June 5.
The public prosecutor has asked 6 years in prison for the blogger accused of incitement of inter-regional hatred.
The blogger's attorney said there is no signs of crime in actions of his client and asked to drop all charges against his client.
Elmir Sydymanov will make the final statement at the trial on June 8.
In February 2020, the blogger in live on his Instagram account made negative statements about natives of certain regions of Kyrgyzstan. He was taken into custody for his statements. The Bishkek city court placed him under house arrest.
