AKIPRESS.COM - Epidemiological situation in Bishkek arouses concerns, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is not declining, First Deputy Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov said at the meeting of the nation-wide operative team for coronavirus fight.
The extent of the epidemiological investigations in Bishkek was found insufficient at the meeting.
"Sanitary rules are hardly met. Such situation may lead to introduction of additional safety measures or their tightening. The cases when citizens apply for medical assistance themselves over COVID-19 symptoms speaks of insufficient work of epidemiological groups and shortcomings in their work," Kubatbek Boronov stated.
Tightened control should be maintained over citizens quarantine at home.
The state of emergency was in effect in Bishkek from March 25 until May 10. The quarantine was then declared in the capital since May 11.
