Border region governors of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan discuss preventing conflicts

AKIPRESS.COM - Batken region governor Alisher Abdrakhmanov met in Kadamjai town on June 9 with the governor of Fergana region of Uzbekistan Shuhrat Ganiev.
Representatives of law enforcement bodies of the two regions were also in attendance, the governor's office said.
They discussed preventing conflicts in the border areas, raising awareness of the local populations of resolution of misunderstandings, developing trade and economic relations between the two countries, strengthening friendly relations between the peoples of the two countries.
