Central Bank of Uzbekistan keeps key rate at 15%

AKIPRESS.COM - The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has kept the key rate at 15%.
The decision to keep the key rate unchanged is explained with projected reduction of inflation and balance between macroeconomic stability and support of economic activities for economic recovery.
The Central Bank syggests the key rate may be reduced in future in view of further reduction of projected inflaction. The actions will be taken to keep inflation at 5% until 2023.
The Central Bank increased the key rate from 14% to 16% in September 2019.
