Uzbekistan, South Korea to team up in construction of multi-field medical center for adults in Tashkent

AKIPRESS.COM - Health Minister of Uzbekistan Alisher Shadmanov held phone talks with Minister of Health and Welfare of South Korea Park Neung-hoo, Dunyo news agency reported.
Minister Shadmanov thanked the Korean government for assistance provided to Uzbekistan in COVID-19 fight. South Korea is priority and strategic partner in health care sector for Uzbekistan, Minister Shadmanov said.
Park Neung-hoo welcomed opening of the National Children's Healthcare Center inaugurated by the President of Uzbekistan on May 21. Minister Park Neung-hoo expressed interest and support of the Korean government in establishment of the multi-field medical center for adults. Its construction is supposed to start at the end of this year.
These two centers and the branch of the South Korean medical university will make a medical cluster in Tashkent. The Ministers exchanged views on creation of the branch of the leading medical school in Uzbekistan.
The Ministers vowed to further bolster bilateral cooperation in healthcare.
