AKIPRESS.COM - Cafes and restaurants, sales outlets will be closed, work of public transport and taxi will be prohibited in case they fail to comply with sanitary protocol. This information came from the meeting of the nation-wide operative team for COVID-19 fight. The line government agencies were instructed to step up check of those entities.
"One third of passengers in public mini-buses wear masks, sometimes all passengers have no masks. The same situation is observed in taxis and stores. The Bishkek mayor's office should take actions to prevent such cases," First Deputy Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov said.
He said control over compliance with sanitary protocol in public transport and public catering facilities should be tightened. Practice when security guards check masks and sanitize hands of visitors should be scaled up to all public places.
Kyrgyzstan has so far confirmed 2,166 Covid-19 cases, 610 of them in Bishkek. Mass events are still now allowed in Bishkek.
Public transport was relaunched since May 25 after 2-month break.
