Culture Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Russia discuss holding online events of within cross year

AKIPRESS.COM - Culture Minister of Kyrgyzstan Azamat Zhamankulov and his Russian counterpart Olga Borisova discussed the proposals for the implementation of bilateral cultural and humanitarian measures envisaged within cross-year program of the in Kyrgyzstan and Russia during the videoconference on June 11, the Kyrgyz ministry reports.
Borisova briefed on the events that the Russian side plans to hold by the end of the year in Kyrgyzstan as part of the cross-year.
Azamat Jamankulov said that the Kyrgyz side is ready to accept and assist in the implementation of previously planned activities.
In addition, Jamankulov voiced proposals for a number of online events, including an online concert on Russia Day with the participation of artists of two states and also suggested considering the possibility of jointly conducting the following events in an online format:
- joint performance of popular songs by Kyrgyz and Russian pop singers;
- literature readings of excerpts from the works of A.S. Pushkin and Chingiz Aitmatov of theaters in Kyrgyzstan and Russia;
- joint performance by the opera artists of Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
The parties discussed the second meeting of the working group of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and humanitarian cooperation.
