Health Minister of Kazakhstan contracts COVID-19

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Health in Kazakhstan Yelzhan Birtanov got infected with COVID-19 and was taken to the hospital. "Unfortunately, I have to break painful news that my previous test for coronavirus was positive," Birtanov said on Facebook. He added that his disease is not asymptomatic, so he was taken to the infectious diseases hospital.
The Minister requested Kazakhstan's citizens to follow quarantine requirements and call doctors if symptoms appear.
President of Kazakhstan's press secretary Berik Uali earlier reported about his coronavirus infection. He said that he was in hospital and his well-being was tolerable on June 6.
